Christmas is coming, and so is Winter Assembly.
This November, Winter Assembly takes over Courts Club on Goods Yard Street in St John's once again, bringing its après-ski take on Christmas back to the heart of Manchester. Expect the Beer Halle, private karaoke chalets, fire pits and festive food and drinks - with plenty more still to be announced for 2026. Whether it's a quick festive drink that turns into anything but, a Christmas date night or the annual work party, consider this your sign to start making plans.
Inside the Beer Halle
At the heart of Winter Assembly, the Club House transforms into a Bavarian-inspired Beer Halle - complete with long tables, festive decor and, naturally, steins.
Expect the drinks line-up to go well beyond beer, with Alpine cocktail steins, mulled wine, boozy hot chocolates and hot buttered rum all making a return.
Food follows the same philosophy: go big or go home. Last year, our street food pop-ups served up everything from footlong loaded bratwursts and giant pretzels to turkey samosas, Indian street food and dirty fries. A similar street food line-up is coming for 2026, with this year’s traders and menus still to be announced.
Christmas Karaoke at Winter Assembly
Some Christmas traditions involve carols. Ours involve shutting yourself in a wooden chalet with your mates and absolutely butchering a Christmas classic.
The private karaoke huts are back for 2026, giving groups their own space for festive singalongs, questionable duets and the inevitable fight over who gets the microphone next.
Christmas Karaoke chalet bookings open this October - keep an eye on Courts Club for more details.
What's On at Winter Assembly 2026
Winter Assembly isn't just one big Christmas night out - part of the fun is having a reason to keep coming back.
Last year brought a different draw throughout the week, from festive quiz nights and live DJs to Christmas films on the big screen, including The Grinch, The Holiday, Elf and Home Alone. For 2026, expect more reasons to keep coming back, with this year's full Winter Assembly programme still to be announced.
And when you're after something a little slower, there are always hot drinks from the bar, fire pits and marshmallows the size of your fist.
Christmas Parties & Private Hire at Winter Assembly
Planning something bigger than festive drinks with a few mates?
Winter Assembly gives Christmas parties and work celebrations a setting with a lot less function-room energy, with flexible spaces for groups of 25 to 650 guests. From smaller group celebrations to larger private events, the space can be shaped around your party while keeping you right in the middle of the action.
Winter Assembly lands at St John’s this November, so if you’re looking for Christmas events in Manchester in 2026, planning the office party or simply ready for the festive season to begin, consider this your sign to start making plans.
